Why should I get a haircut? That's the question that many of us ask. Even if you're growing your hair out it is very important to trim your split ends to keep hair healthy. Untrimmed hair will develop split ends that will continue to break off.

The normal rule is to get a haircut every 6-8 weeks, but that rule doesn't fit everyone. If you have a shorter style, thin or damaged hair you should get it trimmed once a month. If you have long healthy, uncolored hair then you may be able to stretch beyond the 8 week mark. Once your hair leaves the follicle it's no longer alive. Hair grows approximately half an inch a month so the ends of your hair, depending on the length of your hair, are several years old. There are many steps you can take to keep your hair healthy. Avoid using heat on hair, do weekly deep conditioning treatments, and use a leave in conditioner.

Regular haircuts keep hair healthy and looking beautiful. Make an appointment today!
